On Thursday 10 September, the Council of Mosques, in partnership with Al Aqsa Mosque and Tower Hamlets Council, hosted a free Healthy Tower Hamlets Health Fair at Al Aqsa Mosque, Launch St, London E14 3LU.
The event was organised as a free community health event, offering local residents an accessible opportunity to check in on their health in a welcoming, familiar setting.
Attendees enjoyed a free healthy meal alongside blood pressure, heart rate and BMI checks. Expert advice was on hand covering healthy eating, staying active and quitting smoking, giving residents practical steps towards a healthier lifestyle. NHS professionals were also present, speaking directly with attendees about keeping their whole family healthy.
The Health Fair gave residents a valuable opportunity to access health information and support close to home, ask questions directly to professionals, and take positive first steps towards better health.
The event reflected the continued commitment of the Council of Mosques, Al Aqsa Mosque and Tower Hamlets Council to supporting the health and wellbeing of local residents in Tower Hamlets.
