On Thursday 21st May, the Council of Mosques, in partnership with East London Mosque and Tower Hamlets Council, hosted the first  Healthy Tower Hamlets Health Fair of 2026 at the London Muslim Centre.

Over 350 men and women came through the doors to access free health services, enjoy a healthy meal, and connect with local support organisations. 🙌

On the day, attendees benefited from: ✅ Free health checks — blood pressure, heart rate & BMI ✅ Diabetes UK support ✅ Stop Smoking services ✅ Be Well & Talking Therapies ✅ Practical advice on healthy eating, staying active & more ✅ Expert guidance from NHS, Council & charity professionals

With 14 health service providers in attendance, residents had the chance to access vital health information and connect with the support they need — all in a welcoming, inclusive community setting.
